What does a detective do when his profession is obsolete? No more shadows and street corner snitches. Instead of following clues on a piece of paper, finding the right flash drive might be all that is needed. Developing 35 millimeter prints is replaced with downloading a photo from a stranger's cellphone.

Very recently, Jack Chance has buried his ex-wife, moved into his office and if he doesn’t find a high profile case soon, could be out on the street with his cat, who by the way, is convinced that Jack is a murderer. A proverbial knock on the door from a very attractive and mysterious client puts him back in the game until he finds out that the modern rules of private investigation are not in his favor.
